Northern Barbarians
History

The Northern Barbarians (formerly known as Beecroft Cherrybrook) has a proud history going back over 60 years and has produced many fine rugby players including a number of Wallabies and Super Rugby representatives.

In recent years our Wallaby Roster has included Lachie Turner, Dean Mumm (our first Wallaby captain), Benn Robinson, Ben Alexander, Matt Dunning, Matthew Bourke, Cameron Shepherd and Ben Darwin.

The club draws players from Cheltenham, Beecroft, Pennant Hills, West Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Thornleigh, and Westleigh.

The club is clearly a good breeding ground for some of Australia’s future International Representatives.

Currently, the club has teams ranging from Under 6’s through to Under 17’s, made up over 180 registered players entered in both the Saturday and Sunday Sydney Junior Rugby Union competitions.

U6’s to U9’s games are played on Saturdays and U10’s to U17’s games are played on Sundays.
