Player safety

Player safety is at the core of everything we do at the Northern Barbarians.

This starts with modified games for Ages U6 to U10 and no tackling at U6 and U7 level.

New players joining the club at any age/level are assessed as to their abilities and coached correctly for the level at which they will play to ensure the game is played safely.

If you have any safety questions please contact our safety officer Andrew Barry.

Working With Children Check (WWC) - All Coaches and Manager associated with the club are required to register for their role and must provide valid WWC number.

Concussion

Concussion has become a major focus over the past few years and as there is no greater issue for us as a club than player safety we have put together this comprehensive resource for both parents and players to answer any questions around this issue.
